Captcha / Longer interval before notifying about new forum posts

I got many "new comments" email notifications only to see that there was no new post on the threads (likely because they were spam and you've deleted them). What about adding a longer delay before sending the email notifications, and a captcha code to forum posts?

Spam reduction
I'm not sure how to add a delay before sending a notification email, but I can enable a captcha to forum and comment posts. The spam filter also seems to be having trouble so I'll start adding more manual filters to help it. Sorry for all of the excess email.
